Tottenham Hotspur will face Arsenal at White Hart Lane in the North London derby this weekend.
Charlie Nicholas has suggested to Sky Sports that only three players from the current Arsenal team would get into the Tottenham Hotspur side.
The former Arsenal forward made the comment ahead of the North London derby between Tottenham and the Gunners this weekend.
Title-chasing Spurs will take on top-four hopefuls Arsenal at White Hart Lane in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
Tottenham are having a better season than the Gunners, and Nicholas believes that only three players from the current Arsenal team would get into Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
The players are forward Alexis Sanchez, attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil and midfielder Aaron Ramsey.
“The best team at the moment is undoubtedly Spurs, even I’m not blinkered enough to deny that,” Nicholas told Sky Sports.
“If you’re breaking it down to the best defensive and attacking set ups then it has to be Spurs on both fronts.
“Who would really get in Tottenham’s team? Sanchez obviously and then maybe Ozil and Aaron Ramsey? Only when they’re on top of their games.”
Sanchez is one of the best forwards in the Premier League and is playing well for Arsenal at the moment.
The 28-year-old Chile international, who can also operate as a winger, has scored 19 goals and created 72 chances in 32 league matches for the Gunners so far this season.
Ozil has scored seven goals and created 71 chances in 27 league games for Arsenal so far this campaign, while Ramsey has created 15 chances in 17 Premier League matches for the North London outfit.
