Gaetano Berardi has been at Leeds United since 2014.

Former Everton and Manchester City winger Peter Beagrie said on Sky Sports 1 last Friday evening (March 3, 2017) that Gaetano Berardi is the best signing Massimo Cellino has made for Leeds United.
Berardi joined Leeds back in the summer of 2014 after leaving Italian club Sampdoria at the end of the 2013-14 season.
The 28-year-old defender, who can operate as a right-back or as a left-back, has established himself as a key figure in Garry Monk’s team.
Former Middlesbrough and Stoke City winger Beagrie has praised the former Brescia defender, and believes that he is the best signing Leeds chairman Cellino has made for the West Yorkshire outfit.
“I think he is a great one v one defender,” Beagrie said about Berardi on Sky Sports 1 last Friday evening (March 3, 2017) in the build-up to the Championship match between Birmingham and Leeds at St. Andrew’s.
“I think his recovery power is brilliant as well, his positioning sense is great and he has been really impressive. He has been probably the best signing that the chairman has actually made.”

Leeds are fourth in the Championship table at the moment with 64 points from 35 matches.
The Whites are seven points behind second-placed Brighton & Hove Albion and could still make a push for the automatic promotion places.
Monk’s side will return to action on Tuesday evening when they take on Fulham away from home at Craven Cottage in the Championship.
