David Prutton named four important Leeds United players on the Sky Sports Now show on Sky Sports News HQ on Friday morning (broadcast from 10am, November 25, 2016).

Leeds are going strong in the Championship at the moment and are genuine contenders for the playoffs.

Garry Monk’s side are currently seventh in the league table with 26 points from 17 matches.

The West Yorkshire outfit are just a point behind Norwich City, who are sixth in the standings at the moment and occupy the final playoff spot.

Former Leeds midfielder Prutton has named four important players for the Whites while discussing their current form.

The former Nottingham Forest man has named Kyle Bartley, Pontus Jansson, Pablo Hernandez and Chris Wood.

“I think additions of the likes of Jansson and Bartley have really toughened them up,” said Prutton on the Sky Sports Now show on Sky Sports News HQ on Friday morning (broadcast from 10am, November 25, 2016).

“I think Chris Wood coming to the party from a goalscoring point of view is good, and additions like Pablo Hernandez, players who can turn a game. I think they missed him last week against Newcastle.”

Wood has been in good form this season and has established himself as a key player in the current Leeds team.

The New Zealand international striker has scored eight goals and created 15 chances in 16 Championship matches so far this season.

Bartley, signed on loan from Swansea City in the summer transfer window, has been superb at centre-back, and has formed a strong partnership with Jansson, who is on a season-long loan deal from Torino.

Hernandez joined Leeds on loan from Al-Arabi, and has scored one goal and created 34 chances in 11 league appearances for the Whites so far this campaign.
