David Prutton has predicted on Skysports.com that Leeds United will fail to win against Preston North End at home this weekend.

Leeds will take on Preston at Elland Road in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

The Whites will head into the match on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Brentford away from home at Griffin Park in the league.

The West Yorkshire outfit lost last weekend as well, going down 1-0 to Reading at the Madejski Stadium.

Former Leeds midfielder Prutton believes that Saturday’s match between the two teams will end in a draw.

Prutton, though, has backed Leeds to finish the season in the top six and qualify for the Championship playoffs.

“This one is nicely poised,” Prutton wrote on Skysports.com. “Simon Grayson has done a superb job at Preston and has a great affinity with Leeds, but will feel he has something to prove at his former club.

“Leeds have had a couple of poor results since the international break, but they’ve come too far this season to let it go from here and I think they’ll get the draw here and go on to make the play-offs.”

A footnote added: “Prutton predicts: 1-1 with Chris Wood to score first.”

Preston are also in the running for the playoffs, and they will make it hard for Leeds at Elland Road.

It is hard to see the Whites drop all three points on Saturday afternoon; they should actually be able to win the match.

Leeds have shown time and time again this season that they can bounce back from disappointments, and one should not be surprised if they win big against Preston this weekend.
