Matt Le Tissier has January transfer window advice for Everton.
Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier has told Sky Sports that Everton need defensive cover.
The former England international attacking midfielder has also predicted that the Toffees will not finish in the top six of the Premier League this season.
“They’ve just got the young lad Ademola Lookman in but I think they need some more defensive cover,” Le Tissier told Sky Sports.
“On paper it’s a decent squad, not good enough to challenge the top six but should be around there.”

Everton are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 30 points from 20 matches, as many as nine points behind sixth-placed Manchester United.
It is unlikely that the Toffees will break into the top six of the standings this campaign, but ending up seventh should be deemed a success.
After all, it is hard for any team to compete with Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United, all of whom should finish in the top six.

The Toffees should be pleased if they end up as the ‘best of the rest’ and build for the 2017-18 campaign.
Ronald Koeman’s side will take on Premier League rivals Leicester City at Goodison Park in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon.
Everton will face Manchester City at home in the league next weekend.
