Norwich City and Birmingham City will face each other in the Championship this afternoon.

Former Nottingham Forest and Leeds United midfielder David Prutton has predicted on Skysports.com that Norwich City will win against Birmingham City at home this weekend.

Norwich will take on Birmingham at Carrow Road in the Championship this afternoon.

“It was a good result for Norwich against Wolves after a tricky period for Alex Neil and his side,” Prutton wrote on Skysports.com. “For Birmingham, it’s just not clicked since Gianfranco Zola took over at the club.

“Whatever they’ve tried to do in regards to style of play hasn’t quite come to fruition just yet so I think it’s a really good time for Norwich to play Birmingham. That’s why I think Neil’s side can pick up a 2-0 win.”

A footnote added: “PRUTTON PREDICTS: 2-0.”

Norwich are 10th in the Championship table at the moment with 40 points from 27 matches.

The Canaries are five points behind sixth-placed Sheffield Wednesday and are very much in the running for the playoffs.

Alex Neil’s side will head into the game against Birmingham on the back of a 3-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Carrow Road in the league.

Meanwhile, Birmingham find themselves 12th in the Championship table at the moment with 37 points from 27 matches.

The Blues are struggling at the moment and could miss out on a place in the top six this season.

Birmingham manager Gianfranco Zola is still to record his first victory in eight matches in charge.

Norwich are unbeaten in their last four home league meetings with Blues at Carrow Road, according to BBC Sport.
