Former Manchester United defender Danny Higginbotham said on the Sky Sports Now show on Sky Sports News HQ on Friday morning (broadcast from 10am, October 21, 2016) that Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are neck and neck in terms of their squads.
North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham are aiming to win the Premier League title this season.
While the Gunners are second in the league table at the moment with 19 points from eight matches, Spurs are a point behind in third place.
Former Derby County and Sunderland defender Higginbotham believes that Arsenal and Tottenham are very close in terms of the quality of their respective squads.
“I think they are very close, I think they are very neck and neck,” said Higginbotham on the Sky Sports Now show on Sky Sports News HQ on Friday morning (broadcast from 10am, October 21, 2016) when asked who has a better squad: Arsenal or Tottenham.
Tottenham have a very good squad and have arguably the best defence in the Premier League in terms of quality.
Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld are two of the best centre-backs in the division, while Danny Rose and Kyle Walker are brilliant full-backs.
Arsenal’s defence is good as well, and their attack is brilliant, with Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil two of the best players in the world.
