David Prutton has predicted on Skysports.com that Leeds United will fail to win against Brentford away from home this week.

The West Yorkshire outfit will take on Brentford at Griffin Park in the Championship on Tuesday evening.

Former Leeds midfielder Prutton has predicted the match to end in a 1-1 draw.

“Brentford are doing great under Dean Smith this year,” Prutton wrote on Skysports.com. “He’s carried on the mantra set by Marc Warburton of having to replace players with good young ones – and he’s done fantastic.

“This won’t be an easy game for Leeds – although I’m convinced they’ll show a reaction from the Reading game.”

A footnote added: “PRUTTON PREDICTS: 1-1.”

Leeds will head into the match against Brentford on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Reading away from home at the Madejski Stadium in the Championship.

The Whites will be determined to bounce back from the loss, and one should not be surprised if they pick up all three points.

Brentford have indeed done well this season, but they are out of the running for the playoffs whereas Leeds are very much in the race for the top six.

Playing at home will give the Bees an advantage, but Leeds have the better team. Garry Monk’s side have proved time and time again this season that they can bounce back from disappointments, and the fans should be optimistic of three points against Brentford.
