Celtic continue to dominate domestically while struggling in Europe.
Charlie Nicholas
Speaking on Sky Sports Now at 10:10 am on November 24th, Celtic legend Charlie Nicholas explained how his former club seem to be on the right track, highlighting two of Brendan Rodgers’ summer signings as evidence of their progression.
The Hoops currently sit top of the Scottish Premiership, and hold a 10 point lead over second placed Aberdeen, although they have once again failed to make their mark in Europe, having taken just two points from their opening five Champions League group games.
Nicholas though, believes that patience is needed from both the Celtic fans and Rodgers, as the club continues to build, and told Sky Sports Now how two of the Northern Irishman’s summer signings show that they are improving:
“Dembele has been a revelation in Glasgow, his value has shot up, so he’s [Rodgers] grooming him well. Sinclair has been a good addition for Celtic.”

The Glasgow giant’s performance in Europe this season has been so poor that they cannot even qualify for the Europa League with one game still remaining, due to their inferior head-to-head record against Borussia Monchengladbach.
Rodgers’ men now only have domestic competition to focus on, and such is the pressure to succeed at Celtic Park, that nothing less than a treble would be considered as a success for the Hoops boss.
