West Ham United are currently in the midst of a woeful run in the Premier League.

Sky Sports pundit Danny Mills was a guest on Sky Sports’ Premier League Daily programme on Wednesday November 15th, and shared his surprise at the Hammers’ poor start to their season, suggesting that the club’s fans’ demanding nature has been detrimental to their ability to win football matches.
West Ham currently sit in 18th position in the Premier League table, after their paltry return of just nine points from their opening 11 league outings, and newly-appointed boss David Moyes will be under no illusion as to the size of the task that awaits him at the London Stadium.

The Scot was far from a popular appointment in east London, however, with the Hammers faithful hoping for a more youthful, forward-thinking appointment.
And Mills explained how the West Ham fans could make things difficult for Moyes, what with their demanding nature and need for constant entertainment, when speaking live on Sky Sports’ Premier League Daily programme:
“I have been surprised by West Ham. They added some real quality to their squad in their summer and they should have been safe fairly early on. I think that the problem is that their fans want to be entertained all the time, there’s only one club who does that – Manchester City. It’s all about winning football matches, and David Moyes will have to tighten the defence up and start winning some games.”

Next up for Moyes and his Hammers side is a trip to Vicarage Road to take on Watford in the Premier League on Sunday, and a win will be of paramount importance to his hopes of getting the club’s fans onside quickly.
