Everton desperately need a win against Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday.
Speaking live on Sky Sports Now at 11:14 am on December 2nd, Sky Sports pundit Danny Higginbotham offered his opinion on what is going wrong at Everton at the moment, after their drastic drop in performance levels over the past month or so.
The Toffees have won just one game from their last eight league outings, and now find themselves nine points adrift of the Champions League spots.

And Higginbotham, who made 356 league appearances for nine separate clubs in England, highlighted the key area where Ronald Koeman’s men have fallen short of late, when speaking to Sky Sports Now:
“I think the goals have dried up. Everyone was talking about Lukaku, Bolasie, Barkley as well, and although they’re not conceding a lot of goals, in the reverse of that they’re not scoring many. They have only had one win in their last eight, and from the way they started the new season, everyone said they were going to be challenging to get into that top-five position, and it has just really stuttered at the moment. Lukaku is a fantastic player but, at the moment, Everton are just not scoring enough goals.”

The Blues host Manchester United at Goodison Park on Sunday, and Koeman will be desperate for his side to get their Premier League campaign back on track by taking all three points from Jose Mourinho’s men.
Everton have scored just six goals in their last eight league games, and will need Lukaku to return to his best sooner rather than later, if they are to enjoy a successful season.
