The Tottenham Hotspur ace was excellent against Cardiff last night.

Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness raved about Tottenham ace Christian Eriksen, when speaking during Sky Sports’ broadcast of the north London outfit’s clash with Cardiff City last night, labelling the Dane as a ‘very special player’.
The 26-year-old has been in fine form this season, racking up six goals and nine assists in 25 appearances in all competitions, and he always seems to be at the heart of everything good that Spurs do.
Since joining Tottenham, the Denmark international has proven to be one of the signings of the decade thus far, and tying him down to a new long-term deal will be of paramount importance to the Lilywhites’ chances of success in the foreseeable future.
Eriksen is highly regarded at Spurs, but his admirers aren’t just confined to north London.
Souness is certainly a big fan of the Dane, telling Sky Sports how he would happily pay to watch the ‘gifted technician’:

“I think Eriksen is a technician, he doesn’t get involved in the hurly burly, when he’s got an awareness, he gets the ball and knows what he’s going to do long before he’s even touched it. He has a picture that few people have, he’s a very very special player. On his day he such a fantastic player to watch. Sometime you want to pay just to watch, not all the time, but most of the time, you feel like that.”
Tottenham are currently six points adrift of Liverpool in the race for the Premier League title, and if Eriksen continues to perform to his absolute maximum between now and May, there is no reason why Mauricio Pochettino’s side cannot sit top of the pile come the end of the season.
