Tottenham Hotspur won against Middlesbrough in the Premier League at the weekend.

Liverpool legend Phil Thompson gave his verdict on the performance of Vincent Janssen for Tottenham Hotspur against Middlesbrough on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News HQ on Saturday afternoon (broadcast from 12pm, September 24, 2016).
Janssen featured for Tottenham in the Premier League game against Middlesbrough away from home at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The 22-year-old striker started the match and played for 86 minutes, as Spurs won 2-1 against Boro.

Former Liverpool defender Thompson was following the match, and he gave his verdict on the performance of Janssen against Middlesbrough.
“He set good patterns, particularly early on when he was full of energy, closed some defenders down.”

Janssen would probably have not started the match against Middlesbrough had Harry Kane been fit.
The England international striker could be out for eight weeks with an ankle injury, according to The Guardian.
Janssen, who joined Tottenham from Dutch club AZ in the summer transfer window, took two shots and created two chances against Boro.
The Netherlands international striker has yet to score in the Premier League this season, having created six chances in six matches.
Spurs are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 14 points from six matches, four points behind leaders Manchester City.
