Leeds United are currently in fifth place in the Championship table.
Peter Beagrie has told Sky Sports that he would have had no problems with Garry Monk’s reaction to David Wagner celebration last weekend if he was a Leeds United fan.
Leeds were beaten 2-1 by Huddersfield in their most recent outing, with Michael Hefele’s late winner proving to be the difference between the two Yorkshire sides.

Wagner celebrated the strike by running straight down the touchline, and on his way back, Monk appeared to step into his way to cause a collision.

The managers then squared up to each other, which caused players from both sides to rush to their defence.
Leeds and Huddersfield have now been charged by the FA, for failure to control their players.

But Beagrie insists that Monk and Wagner both showed passion, and he could not criticise them for a lack of discipline.
“I can also understand Monk standing out there and standing up for his team,” Beagrie said.

“He felt a sense of injustice and made his feelings known and if I’m a fan of either one of those sides I’m looking at the reaction of both managers, whether they are right or wrong, and thinking it shows a passion for the football club. It gives both teams and their sets of supporters something to cling onto as we reach the business end of the season.”
Huddersfield’s victory means that they have leapfrogged Leeds in the Championship table.
Leeds are next in action this weekend, when they take on Cardiff City, while Huddersfield face Queens Park Rangers.
