Charlie Nicholas has told The Football Show on Sky Sports that Arsenal still need to get their defence right.
Arsenal are thought to only have a limited budget for the summer transfer window, but Nicholas suggests that the bulk of it should go on defenders.
Indeed, the former Gunner feels that the fact Calum Chambers, who has been so close to the exit door before, is now playing, shows why Arsenal need reinforcements.
“For five seasons now we have been saying why buy Pepe for £72 million, why not buy two decent defenders,” he said.
“I know Saliba is due to come in but we’ve still got other people at the club like Calum Chambers, who was out the door in three or four occasions.
“Jenkinson has been playing right-back. There are problems trying to get this unit right.”

Chambers was loaned out by Arsenal to Fulham last term, but the 25-year-old has been kept around this time around.
The English defender has gone on to make 18 appearances for Arsenal across all competitions this season.
Arsenal are thought to be on the hunt for defensive recruits this summer, but whether they will have to money required to bring in the quality they need remains to be seen.
Arsenal are thought to be largely relying on free transfers and loans, unless they can find a way to get some of their higher earners off their books.
