Former Bayern Munich man turned Sky Sports pundit Alan McInally has delivered a damning assessment of West Ham United’s survival chances.

David Moyes, Manager of West Ham United looks dejected during the Premier League match between Swansea City and West Ham United at Liberty Stadium on March 3, 2018 in Swansea, Wales.

West Ham United fans were left seething after another gutless display from their side in the 4-1 defeat to Swansea City.

The Hammers have been dragged back into the thick of the relegation battle after back-to-back 4-1 defeats to Liverpool and the Swans.

The Hammers are in very real danger of being relegated despite turning things around under David Moyes.

It has all been happening against the backdrop of West Ham fans preparing to march in protest against the club’s co-owners David Sullivan and David Goldand vice-chairman Karren Brady over the way the club is being run.

Supporters are unhappy over broken promises since the club’s move from their beloved Boleyn Ground home to the London Stadium, chiefly their failure to spend big in the transfer market and deliver a stadium truly fit for football.

But the players are doing their best to take the focus back away from the owners with their gutless showings of late.

Supporters braved the snow and ice to make the trip to Wales to cheer on their under performing team but saw little signs of encouragement as the Hammers meekly surrendered to a direct relegation rival.

And ex Aston Villa star turned Sky Sports pundit McInally feels they could easily drop.

“It would be fair to say (Swansea were in no way flattered by the result), in fact it would flatter West Ham that it was only four that Swansea managed to get,” McInally told Sky Sports.

Marko Arnautovic of West Ham United looks dejected during the Premier League match between Swansea City and West Ham United at Liberty Stadium on March 3, 2018 in Swansea, Wales.

“I was kidding myself on that West Ham were better than they are and would give them a game, especially after the words of David Moyes saying ‘We will try and put them under pressure and try and take something from the game’.

“They’ve got two away wins West Ham (this season), they’ve got nine games to go and they’ve got Leicester away, Arsenal away and Chelsea away, forget about them, they aren’t winning them if they play like that they’ve no chance.

“They’ve got six games at home to save themselves to stay in the Premier League, genuinely, and they were miles away.”
