Arsenal defender Ryan Alebiosu could end up at Sunderland after talks opened about a move to the Stadium of Light.
That’s according to Sky Sports presenter Tom White, who has been speaking on the Sunderland-based podcast Roker Report.
White is best known for breaking news on Sky Sports, but he has now taken the time to discuss his beloved Black Cats – and drop a little inside information.
White claims that Sunderland are in for Alebiosu, with talks held between Lee Johnson’s men and Arsenal ahead of a potential deal.
He added that he doesn’t even really know where Alebiosu plays, but knows Sunderland are trying to sign him before the transfer deadline.
“We are in for a player from Arsenal called Ryan Alebiosu,” said White. “Never seen him play, hadn’t heard of him until someone told me about him. We’re in for him but at this stage it’s only in talks. He’s a full-back, don’t even know if he’s right or left,” he added.

Alebiosu, 19, has come up through the Arsenal ranks and plays mostly as a right back, but can fill in further forward or even on the left.
Last season, the teenager played 18 times in Premier League 2 and now needs senior football to take the next step.
Having taken Tottenham left back Dennis Cirkin on loan, Sunderland could now repeat the trick with another North London raid, this time for Alebiosu.
