Tottenham Hotspur target Pierre Emile Hojbjerg has passed a medical at the club, according to Sky Sports.

Hojbjerg is now all set to join Tottenham from Southampton, in a deal worth around £15 million.

The transfer is now set to be wrapped up within the next 24 hours, with an announcement coming soon.

Hojbjerg’s arrival at Tottenham should help Jose Mourinho’s side be stronger in midfield next season.

The Dane has been one of Mourinho’s top targets this summer, with the Spurs boss looking to add more steel in central areas next term.

Tottenham do have a number of central midfield options right now, but none of them possess the same defensive qualities or discipline as Hojbjerg does.

The Southampton man’s arrival at Tottenham could be great news for the likes of Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso, as he should help provide them with more attacking freedom.

Hojbjerg is expected to walk straight into Tottenham’s starting line-up, with Harry Winks now facing a real battle for his position in Mourinho’s team.
