According to Fabrizio Romano, Moises Caicedo hasn’t turned up to Brighton training today.

This news comes amid transfer bids from Arsenal and Chelsea.

Brighton are set to play Liverpool in the FA Cup on Sunday, but it now looks like Caicedo won’t play a part.

Caicedo has had a strong start to the season with Brighton and Hove Albion, where he has been able to catch the eye of the Premier League’s elite, and it would be fair to assume that his absence from training is due to the fact he’s set to leave the club.

However, according to Sky Sports, Caicedo was told by Brighton not to come to training in an attempt to allow him to get his head straight for the rest of the season.

“Brighton appreciate that Caicedo’s head has been turned by the offer from Arsenal and interest from Chelsea. So, they’ve given him a few days away to get his head right for the rest of the season,” is how it was explained on Sky Sports News (10:01 AM 28/1/23).

The transfer window is now in its final days, and the race for top talent is intensifying, and both Arsenal and Chelsea want to add Caicedo to their ranks.

It is unclear as to which team Caicedo will end up joining, if any, but it is certain that he will be a key player for the second half of the season for either London club. His skill, potential, and age make him an attractive option for any club looking to build for the future.

The fact that he hasn’t turned up to training adds more fuel to the speculations and rumours of his transfer.

One thing is for sure, Moises Caicedo is a player to watch in the future and his transfer will be a hot topic in the coming days.
