Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol told the Transfer Show (05/01/21 at 7:50 pm) that West Brom are ‘looking at’ Tottenham defender Danny Rose.
It’s quite clear that Rose has played his last game for Tottenham and if being left out of Jose Mourinho’s 25-man squad isn’t a hint then nothing will be.
At the age of 30, Rose has the experience to help a team in the mire like West Brom, but his lack of game time will be of concern.
Nonetheless, this is what Solhekol had to say on Sky about Rose and the interest from Sam Allardyce.
“There was one line that emerged before we came on air, which was regarding Danny Rose,” said Solhekol. “It looks like almost certainly he’s going to be leaving Spurs.
“There could be the possibility of West Brom coming in for him. That’s unconfirmed, but that’s one source telling us that West Brom are looking at him and that’s a deal that could potentially happen if he sorts out his contract situation at Spurs.”

It’s pretty obvious that West Brom need that experience in the market to help them get out of their current mess because they are currently heading back to the Championship.
A player like Rose, who earns £60k-a-week at Spurs [Spotrac], would be the type of player they need, especially given his character, but the problem is his form.
Last season, Rose spent six months at Newcastle, but he didn’t set the world alight, whilst the England international can get back to his best, it’s obvious that he needs time to get to his oldself and that’s something that West Brom don’t need.
