Kieron Dyer has claimed that the running power of West Ham United’s Declan Rice is ‘incredible’, as he told Sky Sports (17/10/21 at 1:50 pm).

The Sky pundit stated that ‘power is coming back in football’, after going through a period of the Arsenal invincibles and then the Barcelona side that played ‘tippy tappy’ football.

Rice is one of the best midfielders in Europe right now, the proof is in the Premier League, in the Europa League and his performances at Euro 2020.

From that teenager that broke through as a centre-back in East London, to a player that now has an outstanding footballing brain and huge improvements when driving forward with the ball.

Dyer was full of praise when talking about Rice, as he made a comment about how he carries the ball.

“Football is ever evolving,” said Dyer. “We played against the Arsenal invincible team, more powerful than you, quicker and stronger than you. Then there was the Barcelona way of tippy-tappy football.

“Again, power is coming. You talk about that spine. Declan Rice’s running power is incredible.”

After finishing in the Europa League places last season, the Hammers will now want to break into the top four and add a trophy into their cabinet.

If they are to do that then they need Rice at his best, playing near-on every game and staying put at the club.

If that happens then there is no reason why David Moyes can’t continue thriving in West Ham colours.

With a certain Mark Noble in his final year of his professional career, it would be fitting if he ended it with a trophy to his name.
