Clinton Morrison suggested on Sky Sports News (2:11pm, July 26, 2020) that Liverpool should sign Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.

The former Crystal Palace and Birmingham City forward, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, believes that Thiago will enhance the creativity of the Liverpool midfield.

Morrison raved about the 29-year-old central midfielder, who has actually been linked with a move to the Reds this summer.

According to a report in Sport earlier this month, Liverpool are interested in signing the former Barcelona star this summer, and that the Reds are close to completing a transfer.

Morrison said about Thiago on Sky Sports News (2:11pm, July 26, 2020): “He has got loads of creative ability, and I think he would be a brilliant signing.”

The Sky Sports pundit added while explaining why LIverpool need to sign Thiago: “He is an exceptional talent and a midfielder who can create things and make things happen.”

Stats

Thiago made 20 starts and four substitute appearances in the Bundesliga for Bayern this season, scoring three goals in the process, according to WhoScored.

The 29-year-old has also made five starts and one substitute appearance in the Champions League for the German giants, providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

Good signing for Liverpool?

Thiago is a very experienced footballer and is a serial winner, and he would enhance the quality of the Liverpool midfield and would make the team even more competitive.
