Paul Merson has raved about Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane on Skysports.com.
The former Arsenal star, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, has said that Kane is unique.
The Englishman has outlined the qualities of the England international, adding that Lionel Messi cannot do what the 27-year-old can.
Merson told Sky Sports about Kane: “Name me one player in the world who can be a No 9, score goals, hold the ball up, be strong, and then go and play No 10, and put 60-yard balls through the eye of a needle, or run at the ball with pace with defenders all around you before picking out a ball to assist.
“There’s nobody in the world like him. There’s no other player in the world who can be as good as a No 9, and as good as a No 10. I don’t think there ever has. Lionel Messi cannot go up front, hold the ball up, bring people into play, and then score bundles of goals, and then go and play No 10 in the same game. He’s a No 10. Kane can do both.”

Harry Kane is on fire
Kane has been a consistent goalscorer in the Premier League for a number of years now, and this season, the England international is playing as a number 10 at times.
According to WhoScored, the 27-year-old striker has scored seven goals and provided nine assists in nine Premier League matches, and has scored one goal and provided one assist in two Europa League games so far this season.
Barcelona forward Messi is one of the best players of all time. Saying that the Argentine cannot do what Kane does is a bit too much, but there is no argument that the Englishman is a brilliant footballer.
According to WhoScored, Messi scored 25 goals and provided 21 assists in La Liga last season, while during the 2018-19 campaign, he scored 36 goals and provided 13 assists in the league.
