Sky Sports pundit Michael Dawson has said that Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min needs to improve.

The former Tottenham Hotspur defender has said on Sky Sports News (12:18pm, August 12, 2023) that Son Heung-min needs to do better this season and score more goals.

Dawson made the comments about Son while discussing the importance of Tottenham attackers scoring more goals this season following the departure of Harry Kane.

England international striker Kane has joined Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich this summer.

Son has made 268 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The £192,000-a-week (SalarySport) South Korea international forward has scored 103 goals and given 52 assists in those games.

The 31-year-old made 33 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Spurs last season.

Son scored 10 goals and gave six assists in those games.

Dawson said: “Son has got to improve. He has got to improve.”

Former Arsenal star Paul Merson added: “I think he will get better.”

Son Heung-min needs to do better for Tottenham Hotspur

In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min needs to step up his game this season.

We know that Son is a very good and hard-working forward who is an important source of goals for Tottenham.

The forward was far from his best last season.

Son does need to raise his game this time around.

Tottenham are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
