The pundit has been discussing Tottenham and Leicester’s Premier League title aspirations.

Charlie Nicholas has questioned whether Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City have the ‘knowledge’ to capitalise on being the top two in the Premier League, according to Sky Sports.

And Nicholas also believes Tottenham and Leicester have been ‘fortunate’ when it comes to injuries, as opposed to the likes of Manchester City.

The pundit told Sky: “If Arsenal lose on Sunday then yes, maybe I’ll concede it’s Leicester’s season as they haven’t been convincing, not as convincing as the current top two anyway.

“The question is, however, do either of them have the knowledge to get it done? They’re the two away teams on Sunday and, without copping out, any of the four can win it.

“Man City also have Vincent Kompany coming back and that could be huge, where as Leicester and Tottenham have been fortunate with injuries.”

There are a few points to consider in response to Nicholas’s comments. Were Harry Kane to sustain a long-term injury, Spurs might be in trouble. But they can certainly cope in other areas.

Jan Vertonghen’s absence, for instance, has been well covered for so far by Kevin Wimmer.

Manchester City, meanwhile, still have a very strong squad and have no excuse for some of their poor results considering the quality of those who have stepped in.

As for Leicester, they have an advantage over Tottenham and the others as they only have the Premier League to concentrate on from hereon in – so they could continue to avoid injuries.
