David Moyes has guided West Ham to Premier League survival after their 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas doesn’t think his fellow Scot is getting enough credit and has explained why.
He said: “West Ham securing their survival against Manchester United does change things.
“I thought they were excellent. David Moyes doesn’t get the credit, because they lost a couple of silly games, but they’ve had some great results since then.
“They’ve shown great quality and character under Moyes since the restart, I don’t recall them playing badly.”

Moyes has achieved his minimum objective at West Ham and they did play well at Old Trafford.
Perhaps this will prove Nicholas’ point, but he doesn’t deserve overwhelming credit for taking a club who were not in the relegation zone when he took over.
He spent big money in January to add to a squad which is more talented than any of the others which were in and around the drop zone.
Is Moyes the man to build something at West Ham? His record since leaving Everton in 2013 would suggest not, so perhaps Nicholas shouldn’t be going overboard in his praise.
