Michael Brown has said on Sky Sports Premier League (9:21pm, May 3, 2021) that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane might be disappointed that he could not score at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last night.

Tottenham beat Sheffield United 4-0 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

Gareth Bale was the star of the show, as the Wales international winger, signed on loan from Spanish and European giants Real Madrid in the summer of 2020, scored a hat-trick.

South Korea international forward Son Heung-min also etched his name on the scoresheet.

Star striker Kane started the game and played for the entire 90 minutes, but the England international could not score against a team that have already been relegated from the Championship.

Former Tottenham midfielder Brown, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, believes that Kane might be disappointed that he could not score.

Brown said on Sky Sports Premier League (9:21pm, May 3, 2021): “Harry Kane might be a little bit disappointed not to have got a goal, and there’s four going around.”

Meanwhile, United star Chris Basham has praised Bale for his performance, and said on Sky Sports Premier League (9:23pm, May 2, 2021): “Gareth Bale turned up, today he was brilliant, the speed and power that he has got and he possesses, and the composure, a lot of composure from their strikers, top-quality finishes.”

Winning the top scorer’s award

Kane has been brilliant for Spurs and, like always, the England international striker has been banging in the goals for fun this season.

According to WhoScored, the Spurs star has scored 21 goals and provided 13 assists in the Premier League and scored three goals and gave two assists in the Europa League this season.

Kane has scored one more goal than Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah in the Premier League this season, and it seems that either one of these players will end up as the top scorer in the English top flight.
