Efan Ekoku has told Sky Sports, during their live coverage of Tottenham Hotspur’s game against Brighton & Hove Albion, that he doesn’t think Jose Mourinho has made up his mind about Tanguy Ndombele yet.
Mourinho has started Ndombele regularly this term, and even stressed his importance to Tottenham’s team in midweek.
But Ekoku still has some doubts over Ndombele’s role as a player.
And he feels that Mourinho is not convinced that the Frenchman is the right man for Tottenham’s team.
“I don’t think Ndombele needs to do too many things to upset Jose Mourinho,” he said.
“I’m unsure what type of player he is – whether he’s a sitting player or more advanced and someone who can link the play.
“I’m yet to make my mind up and I think Jose is, even though he sees him every day.”
Fair comment?

Mourinho may have had some doubts over Ndombele last term, but Ekoku’s claim that the Portuguese boss still has doubts about him doesn’t really add up any more.
Mourinho has been pictured embracing Ndombele on the pitch, and he has constantly praised him in the media.
The best evidence that Mourinho does now feel that Ndombele is key to Tottenham is from the sheer volume of games he has played.
The 23-year-old has been a crucial part of Spurs’s starting line-up this term, and has featured in every single one of their Premier League matches to date.
