Darren Ambrose has labelled Tanguy Ndombele’s transfer at Tottenham Hotspur as an ‘absolute disaster’.
It seems to be the same old story for the midfielder at Tottenham, with another manager seemingly unimpressed with his attitude and drive to get better.
Jose Mourinho gave Tanguy Ndombele the most public of grillings, yet it didn’t work, whilst Antonio Conte loaned him out as soon as he entered Tottenham’s building.
And now Ange Postecoglou wants the club to sell the 26-year-old this summer, that’s why Ambrose thinks that the player has been a ‘disappointment’, as he told the Transfer Show on Sky Sports (23/08/23 at 7:35 pm).
Once upon a time, Ndombele was Tottenham’s club-record signing when he joined from Lyon for £63 million (Sky Sports) in 2019 – that has since been taken over by Richarlison, who is struggling himself now.
He even scored on his debut against Aston Villa, but since then, it has gone downhill, in fact, he wasn’t even uphill to slide down, he just never reached a height that was worthy of him being talked about.

“The rest of them, I think they can get moved on,” said Ambrose. “Ndombele is a disappointment.
“The money they spent on him, it’s an absolute disaster.”

Wasted career for Ndombele
From Mauricio Pochettino to Jose Mourinho, going back to France, to playing for one of Napoli’s greatest-ever sides in the modern era.
The French star had the chances, the platform and the opportunity to talk the talk and prove himself.
But, in the end, he walked across the pitch and watched the game go by, well now, he will have to watch his career at the highest level sleepwalk into oblivion.
