Paul Merson gave his take on Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette on Sky Sports News (1:59pm, November 21, 2020).

The former Arsenal striker, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, has not been impressed by the performance of the Frenchman so far this season.

The Englishman believes that Lacazette plays like he knows that he will not finish a game of football and will be substituted in the second half.

Merson said on Sky Sports News (1:59pm, November 21, 2020): “I watch Lacazette play, and it is, ‘Well, I am coming off after 70, so’.”

Alexandre Lacazette Stats

According to WhoScored, Lacazette has made six starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Arsenal so far this season, scoring three goals in the process.

The 29-year-old France international has also played 84 minutes in the Europa League for the Gunners, according to WhoScored.

According to WhoScored, the Frenchman has completed the full 90 minutes in the league this campaign just once.

Need to improve

Lacazette is a very good striker, but the former Lyon star is not having the best of times at the moment.

It is important that the striker steps up his game in the coming weeks, as he is an important figure in Mikel Arteta’s team.
