Tim Sherwood has claimed that Richarlison has the ‘connections to get himself a move to Arsenal’, as he told Sky Sports News (23/04/22 at 1:45 pm).
The Everton striker is staring at the possibility of getting relegated from the Premier League and Sherwood thinks he’s a player that will want to move if the Toffees end up in the Championship.
As things stand, Frank Lampard’s side are sitting in the Premier League’s bottom three, after their defeat to Liverpool on Sunday and Burnley’s home win against Wolves.
Signed up by Everton for £50 million (BBC Sport), added with the wages he is on, it’s impossible for a player like Richarlison to be playing Championship football next season.
That’s why former Premier League title-winner Sherwood thinks the Brazil international has a move in him, as he dropped Arsenal’s name into the hat.
“Would Richarlison stick around in the Championship?” asked Sherwood. “What about the rest of them?
“Doucoure is too good for that. All of them will feel they are too good for the Championship.
“They (Everton) might have to give them away for (little) because it depends on how the finances are at the club, They might have to give them away.
“I think Richarlison has a move in him. I think he has the connection to get himself a move to Arsenal or somewhere like that. I think people will look at him and think ‘in a better side, he might be able to step up’.”

Mikel Arteta is searching for that out-and-out striker in the summer, but would someone like Richarlison fit the bill?
Whilst the 24-year-old can play across the forward line and he is a player who has years left to improve.
He’s not exactly the out-and-out goalscorer Arsenal are looking for – his best tally in England’s top-flight has been 13 goals, he did that twice in his first two seasons on Merseyside.
Nonetheless, Everton will be hoping they aren’t forced into such drastic actions because they still have time to save their Premier League status.
