Dean Ashton has said on Sky Sports News (2:03pm, November 6, 2022) that Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale did not have to do much against Graham Potter’s Chelsea.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Graham Potter’s Chelsea faced each other in the London derby this weekend.
The Premier League match was held at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Arsenal won 1-0.
Brazilian defender Gabriel scored the only goal of the match.
It came in the second half.
Arsenal goalkeeper Ramsdale did not have much to do, as the Chelsea attackers really failed to questions of the Gunners’ defence.
The £24 million (The Athletic) England international did claim some low crosses, but he was not really troubled much.
And former West Ham United player Ashton noticed that.

Dean Ashton on Aaron Ramsdale for Arsenal v Chelsea
Ashton said: “Ramsdale, I don’t remember, even mentioning his name or evening thinking he was involved.”
Deserved win
Arsenal were the better and more threatening team against Chelsea in the London derby on Sunday.
And we think that the Gunners deservedly picked up all three points from the encounter.
Had Gabriel Jesus scored in the first half, then Arsenal could have won the Premier League match by a bigger margin and more comfortably.
Ramsdale has been playing well for Arsenal this season, and the former Sheffield United goalkeeper is a big reason why the Gunners are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment.
