Kris Boyd raved about Rangers winger and reported Leeds United target Ryan Kent on Sky Sports Main Event (6:38pm, August 29, 2020).

The former Rangers striker – who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports – said that Steven Gerrard’s side cannot afford to sell Kent in the summer transfer window amid reported interest from Leeds.

The Scottish Sun has claimed that the Whites are planning to make a £14 million bid for the former Liverpool winger, having had an initial offer of £10 million for the 23-year-old turned down.

Boyd said about Kent on Sky Sports Main Event (6:38pm, August 29, 2020): “The two full-backs and Ryan Kent are the three players that make things happen, but he is the special one that can make something happen out of nothing, and Rangers cannot afford to lose him.”

Big player for Rangers

Boyd made the aforementioned comments about Kent following his superb performance for Rangers against Hamilton Academical in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday evening.

The Englishman took seven shots of which two were on target, played five key passes, had a pass accuracy of 85%, took 81 touches, attempted three dribbles, and put in two crosses, according to WhoScored.

Kent is a key figure at Rangers, who will not want to sell him this summer as they aim to stop bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic from making it 10 Scottish Premiership titles in a row this season.

Good signing for Leeds United?

For Leeds, Kent would be brilliant, as his goals, creativity and pace would make Marcelo Bielsa’s side better and more potent in attack.

According to WhoScored, Kent has scored three goals in six Scottish Premiership games for Rangers so far this season.
