Clinton Morrison has hailed Arsenal transfer target Wilfried Zaha as ‘outstanding’ and compared his recent goal against Brentford to Thierry Henry.
The 29-year-old, who was the subject of summer transfer interest from the likes of Arsenal, has one-year left on his current Crystal Palace contract and Morrison wants his former club to give Zaha ‘what he wants’.
Zaha’s links to Arsenal have been there for years, especially given that he is a boyhood fan and it probably won’t go away until he can no longer perform at the top level.

But where will the next chapter of Zaha’s career land him? The all-action superstar has a big call to make because he either commits his future to Palace or looks for another challenge.
If Arsenal secure Champions League football under Mikel Arteta, then it will be interesting if they go knocking again.
But former Palace man Morrison clearly wouldn’t want that to happen because he wants to see Zaha work his magic on the Selhurst Park turf, as he told Sky Sports News.
“He has been outstanding,” said Morrison. “Palace didn’t do that much business in the window and on deadline day. But the best bit they did was to keep hold of him.
“This is a fantastic goal (curling effort against Brentford). He shoots it with the ball stuck under him and he bends it into the far corner.
“I compare him, I have seen that many a time scored by one of the greatest there ever was in Thierry Henry. It was fantastic finishing. He has been magnificent.
“He has one year to go. Crystal Palace, give him what he wants because he is the main man at that club.”

ZAHA SHOULD STAY AT PALACE
Patrick Vieira is building a Palace team trying to push towards the top half and then Europe in the long run.
He certainly has the right ingredients available to punch above Palace’s weight, including two outstanding central defenders and a forward line even Brighton fans would pay to watch.
But Zaha is the spice amongst that mix of Eberechi Eze, Michael Olise and Jean-Philippe Mateta, if he signs a new deal, then it certainly bodes well for the club’s future.
One thing that can’t be denied is the player’s commitment and passion for the club, which is evident on a weekly basis and does also rile up the away fans.
