Keith Andrews has suggested on Sky Sports that he doesn’t think that Divock Origi or Xherdan Shaqiri are good enough at Liverpool.
Origi and Shaqiri have both featured infrequently for Liverpool this term, with the pair mainly used as back-up options.
And Andrews believes that Rhian Brewster may already be a better option for Liverpool than either of the pair.
“I look at the periphery players of that front three and the options that they have. The likes of Divock Origi – I know he’s scored hugely important goals for Liverpool – and Xherdan Shaqiri don’t quite fit into it, for me, and Adam Lallana will probably move on when his contract runs out,” he said.
“I genuinely think there’s a space in there for him, and with the way he’s going, Jurgen Klopp is showing that he will introduce young players, Trent Alexander-Arnold being a prime example.”

Shaqiri leaving Liverpool in the summer would not be a great surprise, but Origi’s departure would be more of a shock.
The £27 million forward (Liverpool Echo) has proven a reliable scorer of crucial goals for Liverpool, and has been a solid back-up option for a number of years now.
To trade him out for Brewster would be a risk for Klopp’s side, as the academy graduate is unproven at the top level.
Brewster has impressed on a loan spell in the Championship this season though, after scoring four goals in 11 games for Swansea City since joining in January.
