Jamie O’Hara told Sky Sports News that Carlos Vinicius did ‘nothing’ for Tottenham in the first half of their 4-1 FA Cup win against Wycombe on Monday.

Spurs went into the half-time break level and worrying that their might be an upset on the cards because the Championship club were making a good account of themselves.

With an hour gone on the clock, Jose Mourinho started to ring the changes with Harry Kane coming on for Vinicius.

But during his brief assessment of the 25-year-old’s display, O’Hara wasn’t impressed with what he saw and, in the end, was correct in predicting that Kane would be introduced instead of Vinicius.

“I wouldn’t have been surprised if they made a couple of changes,” said O’Hara. “Get Kane on and Son.

“Vinicius has done nothing in this first half, so I won’t be surprised if Harry Kane gets introduced.”

This was another opportunity for Vinicius to showcase to Mourinho that he is worthy of earning more minutes on the pitch.

But in truth, the Wycombe strikers caused more problems than he did, but it’s still a learning curve for the Benfica loanee.

A lack of regular game time doesn’t help Vinicius’s rhythm and sharpness, but that’s the difficulty of playing in the Premier League and having to compete against Kane.
