Jamie O’Hara has claimed that Wolves winger Adama Traore is ‘perfect’ for Tottenham, as he told the Transfer Show on Sky Sports.
The Sky pundit added that he thinks Wolves boss Bruno Lage was ‘upset’ with some of the things Traore was doing during their 1-0 win at Old Trafford on Monday night.
Whilst the numbers don’t back it up, Traore is one of the most explosive and devastating players in European football and someone who many neutrals would pay to watch.
Modern football is littered with statistics and numbers, but Traore is the pure example of why it is called the beautiful game and how stats shouldn’t be thought of in such a deep manner.
The manner in which he accelerates across the pitch like he has a supercar engine attached to him is a joy to behold.
And O’Hara, who played for both Spurs and Wolves during his career, explained why Spurs need to get him.
“I think Adama Traore would be a fantastic signing,” said O’Hara. “I watched them (against Manchester United) and I thought Wolves were superb.
“I don’t know if their gaffer fancies Traore. Every time he got the ball, the manager looked like he was upset with what he was trying.
“But, for me, it’s perfect for how Conte wants to train. That counter-attacking style. Direct football. Get it forward early. Get in behind teams.
“And we know how quick Traore is. How lethal he is with the ball at his feet, so I think it would be a superb signing. His end product is an issue. Something he has to improve on, that’s why he hasn’t played for the huge clubs.”

It has been four years since Wolves paid Middlesbrough £18 million for Traore’s talents (BBC Sport) and the reviews would probably be mixed.
On one hand, there will be frustration at the number of opportunities he wastes and how he hasn’t taken his final third play to higher levels.
On the other, not many attackers keep opposition defenders awake at night, but Traore would be one of them.
Despite his lack of goals and assists, the opposition team would still study, plan and single him out because of the brutal nature in which he plays the game.
