Gary Neville has told Monday Night Football, which was broadcast on Sky Sports, that he believes Liverpool would want to sign Heung-Min Son from Tottenham Hotspur.
Son has been simply incredible this season, and he made it into Neville and Jamie Carragher’s Premier League team of 2020 ahead of Sadio Mane.
And Neville feels that the £22 million Spurs man (Guardian) can now be labelled as a world-class player, as every club would want to take him, including Liverpool.
“You cannot criticise Son or Mane, there’s no negative about them. They are both absolutely world class,” Neville said.
“Every club in the world would want them – Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSG, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Liverpool would want Son.
“We just plugged the goals in and Son has just done better [than Mane] in a team that isn’t as good, but it’s no reflection on Mane.”
Thankfully for Tottenham any move away for Son looks increasingly unlikely.

The Athletic have reported how Tottenham want to tie down Son for the long-term and are readying a massive contract for him.
If Son does put pen to paper then it would be a huge boost to Spurs, as they are so reliant on his attacking output.
Son is Tottenham’s top scorer in the league this season and his speed has been a key part of Jose Mourinho’s side’s attacking strategy.
