Darren Bent has claimed that Marcelo Bielsa was ‘fuming’ with Adam Forshaw during Leeds United’s penalty shootout win against Fulham on Tuesday, as he told Sky Sports News (21/09/21 at 9:50 pm).
The TV pundit watched Fulham’s Joe Bryan put his spot-kick over the bar and then was left shock when Forshaw followed suit.
At the time, Forshaw would have been feeling the nerves because his penalty, had he put it in, would have been the winning one.
But, in the end, IIllan Meslier saved Forshaw’s blushes by keeping out the crucial spot-kick and the £4.5 million Leeds man thanked his teammate for ‘saving me’.
After a goalless 90 minutes, an eventual evening for the Yorkshire side in London turned out to be a positive one for the club.
And during Forshaw’s penalty, this is what Bent noticed about Bielsa, as he also accidentally swore live on TV.
“Oh, he has put it over the bar,” said Bent. “What is going on here? He smashes it over the bar, as well.
“Bielsa is absolutely p***ed. He is fuming.”

Under Bielsa, Leeds haven’t had a great record in London, and that stems back from their days in the Championship.
Nor did they have a good record in progressing in cup competitions, but once again, they got over that line yesterday.
Whilst the Whites search for that all-important win in the Premier League, perhaps a long-awaited cup run is on the cards.
When Leeds were languishing in the lower leagues, it would have been pretty hard for them to go deep into domestic competitions and push for trophies.
But now they are a Premier League side again, this is a great chance for them to earn those trips to Wembley again.
