Russell Martin told Sky Sports Football (06/04/21 at 9:55 pm) that Arsenal target, Emi Buendia, has been ‘the best player’ in the Championship this season.
Buendia showed on Tuesday night why clubs such as Arsenal are circling for his signature because he provided three assists and scored a goal as Norwich demolished Huddersfield 7-0.
This should no doubt interest Arsenal even further because Eurosport did claim that they will be making an offer for him this summer.
Ex-Norwich defender, Martin, thinks he has been a standout this season and proving why he is such a ‘valuable’ player.
“The toughest thing to do in the game is to score goals and to create goals,” said Martin. “And that’s why those guys are the most valuable players.
“He’s probably not just been the best player for Norwich, but for me, he’s the best player in the Championship.”
It’s only a matter of time before Norwich return back to the Premier League, so that won’t help Arsenal’s cause in snapping up his talents.
Arsenal will still be able to lure the £40 million star (Goal) away from Carrow Road, but there’s no doubt his price will increase because of Norwich’s promotion.
But this is where those in the Arsenal boardroom will be tested because it’s pretty obvious that there doesn’t need to be a few changes to this squad but a huge overhaul.
