Clinton Morrison told Soccer Special on Sky Sports that Mo Salah will be ‘licking his lips’ ahead of Liverpool’s Saturday showdown with Leicester City.

During Leicester’s FA Cup win against Brighton on Wednesday night, one of their players of the season, James Justin, suffered what looked like a serious knee injury.

Even though he was stretchered off, Brendan Rodgers confirmed after the game that it’s not as serious as it looks, he was walking around the dressing room, but it does make him a doubt for the Liverpool encounter.

That will then raise the question as to who will play at left-back for the Foxes, with Timothy Castagne also on the sidelines, as Morrison feels Salah will be looking forward to playing against a player unfamiliar with that position at the weekend.

“I think this is the perfect game to play Leicester,” said Morrison. “They have just lost Justin. They already don’t have Castagne, they are two key players.

“If Salah is on his game like he can be then I think he will be licking his lips thinking ‘who am I going to play against here?’ Licking his lips thinking he has a great opportunity.

“I think it will be a hell of a game and perfect game for Liverpool – they have too much quality to drop out of the top-four.”

Even though a lot of questions have been asked about Liverpool lately and a lot has been made about their leaky defence and, at times, blunt attack.

It needs to be remembered that Salah is still the top marksman in the division and the £34 million forward (BBC Sport) is starting to fly ahead of everybody else.

If Justin does play on Saturday then it will be some battle between two standout stars of the division, but equally, if someone has to fill in then they will have their work cut out.
