Clinton Morrison has waxed-lyrical about Crysencio Summerville and the impact he is having for Leeds United this season.
The 22-year-old is ripping the Championship to shreds and that was further showcased when Daniel Farke watched his team steamroll Swansea City 4-0 on Tuesday night.
Unsurprisingly, Crysencio Summerville scored and assisted in South Wales, to take his tally for the season to 15 goals and eight assists from 29 league games.
Clinton Morrison stated that the versatile forward is Leeds United’s ‘best player’ and someone who can go on to play in the Premier League again, even if his team don’t earn promotion, as he told Soccer Special on Sky Sports (13/02/24 at 7:30 pm).
As of this moment, the Yorkshire club are on track because they are sitting in the automatic places.
But they are well aware that Southampton and Ipswich Town, who held that position for large parts of this season, are breathing down their necks.
If Daniel Farke is to guide his team back to the promised land, then you would imagine it’s going to be Crysencio Summerville working his magic even more and laying down the finishing touches.
Leeds United’s top performer
“This young man has been their best player, Summerville,” said Morrison. “He is the one who can go and play in the Premier League, without a shadow of a doubt.
“I think he has improved, even Rutter. They paid a lot of money for him, struggled in the Premier League, but now him and Bamford are playing well together.”

Crysencio Summerville in the Premier League
The flying Dutchman got a taste of the Premier League when he moved to Elland Road as a fresh-faced teenager.
He worked his way up into the first team, but found himself part of the side that crashed back down to the Championship years later.
It’s fair to say that Summerville is far more prepared for England’s top-tier now and Leeds fans will be desperate to get back because they simply wouldn’t want to lose him.
Leeds will have two bites. Either get the automatics and avoid the pain of the play-offs, or go down that dreaded route, which hasn’t served the club well before.
