Could the Leicester City striker replace Chris Wood at Leeds United?

Bookmakers Sky Bet have reopened the market on Leonardo Ulloa’s next club – and made Leeds United 4/1 second favourites to sign the Leicester City striker.

Leeds have sold Chris Wood to Burnley for a rumoured fee of £15 million, leaving them plenty of funds with which to secure a replacement for last season’s top scorer.

And though ambitious, Ulloa could be an attainable target, with his contract expiring at the end of the campaign and having failed to feature in any of Leicester’s 2017/18 fixtures so far.

Nevertheless, at 2/1 it is Brighton who are currently considered the Argentine’s most likely destination, as they seek to add to their own forward line.

Ulloa previously 18 months with the Seagulls – who were also linked with a move for Wood earlier in the summer – before a £9 million transfer to Leicester three years ago.

And with 23 goals in 50 Championship outings, he could be the ideal candidate to fill the void left by the New Zealand international at Leeds.

The Whites have been linked with moves for Ross McCormack, Jordan Rhodes, Chuba Akpom and Pierre-Michel Lassogga throughout the past seven days, and are also listed at 7/1 to sign Huddersfield’s Nahki Wells with Sky Bet.
