Skip Bayless has delivered a blunt verdict on the 2024 NFL Draft quarterback class, making it clear that only one passer separates himself from the rest.
Skip Bayless assessed the long-term outlook of quarterbacks drafted by the Chicago Bears, New England Patriots, and Denver Broncos.
His comments focused on which players are positioned to reach the top of the NFL out of the much-lauded draft class.

Skip Bayless dismisses most of 2024 quarterback class
Skip Bayless said Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is the clear standout from the 2024 NFL Draft class.
While discussing the group, Bayless dismissed Drake Maye and Bo Nix as realistic challengers to Williams reaching the top of the league.
“I’ve said this 100 times already about Caleb Williams. He is a nuclear weapon. He is it, long term. If I had to bet on the future, he’s going to be by far the best in this class.
“At some point, he’s going to be number one in this league. We’re all going to put him on the top of our list. If I’m doing this right here, right now, it’s just Drake Maye.”
Caleb Williams labeled future NFL standard by Bayless
Skip Bayless reserved his strongest praise for Caleb Williams when explaining his long-term projection for all the quarterbacks that were being discussed.
He questioned whether any other quarterback from the class could realistically compete. Bayless did not include Bo Nix as a serious challenger in his assessment.
He said that if he were betting on the future of the position, only Williams projects as a league-defining player.
Caleb Williams had an excellent sophomore season, leading the Chicago Bears to the NFC Divisional Round to conclude what had been the franchise’s best season in years.
