According to a report from the Sun (12th October), Eddie Nketiah is considering a move away from Leeds United after failing to break into their first-team squad.

The Arsenal man is in need of regular game time and Marcelo Bielsa hasn’t quite tried to use him alongside or in place of Patrick Bamford. The report claims that Nketiah is looking for a move to Leeds’ Championship rivals Bristol City but the Robins recently acquired the service of free agent Rodri which eliminates their need for another striker barring January departures.

This opens the door for a number of clubs to come in for Nketiah should he decide to leave Elland Road in January and West Bromwich Albion should and must consider him. The Baggies are on top of the Championship table after 11 games but their strikers have struggled to come up with the goods.

Summer signing Kenneth Zahore has scored just two goals so far, both of them coming from the penalty spot. Charlie Austin, like his fellow striker, has scored only twice which could prove to be a huge problem for the Baggies as the season goes on.

Bilic has started off his tenure brilliantly losing just once in the first 11 games but West Brom were in a similar situation last season before things crumbled. The Baggies never quite recovered from Harvey Barnes’ return to Leicester City in the middle of the campaign and failure to address their striker issues could again see them miss out on promotion.

Nketiah has proven that he can be among the goals having scored four times in just two starts so far this season. The Arsenal forward even scored a hat-trick earlier this week for the England under-21’s which earned him a ton of plaudits from fans and pundits alike.

Bilic has to make sure that his side’s lack of end product is resolved before they enter the business end of the season. Nketiah would be an incredible loan signing in January and, if he can continue his form, his goals will give West Brom the push that they need to return to the Premier League.
