Premier League rivals Liverpool and Arsenal are set to battle for the signing of Olympique Lyon’s Moussa Dembele in the summer.

United are frontrunners for the signature of the former Celtic man according to the report having tabled a £35.5 million bid last month. However, with Liverpool’s guarantee of Champions League football, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side could have to battle hard for Dembele.
The Reds are fresh off of an incredible Champions League campaign which saw them clinch their sixth title. However, their efforts in the Premier League proved to be insufficient as they fell a point short of eventual champions Manchester City.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will lose Daniel Sturridge in the summer while Divock Origi’s future is still up in the air despite him being a hero in both the semi-final and the final. Liverpool will need another striker to compete with Manchester City next season and Dembele would be a brilliant option.

The Frenchman has had a fantastic season for Les Gones having scored 23 goals in 52 appearances in all competitions. His addition to the Reds squad makes a lot of sense and competition between him and Roberto Firmino will bring the best out of both players.
Liverpool will have a real gem on their hands if they beat Arsenal to the signing of Moussa Dembele in the summer and to top it all off, Reds fans will have a ton of bragging rights against their fierce rivals from the red side of Manchester.
