Arsenal looked like they had moved on from Wilfried Zaha with Nicolas Pepe but latest reports claim that the saga isn’t over yet.
The Gunners found a deal for Nicolas Pepe a lot more feasible thanks to Lille’s willingness to agree to a payment structure that would suit Arsenal this summer. This has left Wilfried Zaha stuck in South London after Crystal Palace refused to budge on their demands.
Roy Hodgson’s side rejected a £40m offer for the Ivory Coast international from Arsenal while fellow Premier League side Everton’s £55m bid was also rejected.
With not many teams willing to pay what Palace value Zaha at, the former Manchester United man was expected to end up at Selhurst Park for another season but Seth claims that Arsenal could still make a move for him.
Arsenal certainly lacked a wide player last season but the addition of Pepe fills that need perfectly. The Lille man’s addition could see a deadly front three of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and himself which would leave no room for Zaha.
Arsenal still have the likes of Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, along with youngsters Reiss Nelson and Bukayo Saka, who have both impressed in their recent pre-season tour of the United States.
Despite the report, it is highly unlikely that Arsenal will go back in for Zaha unless multiple departures happen in the next week.
