Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores is preparing a plan to get Danny Welbeck back to full fitness.

Watford’s old yet new boss got off to a positive start in his second stint at Vicarage Road as his side came back from two goals down to draw 2-2. The Hornets were unlikely to come out of the game with just a point as they destroyed Arsenal in the second half.
However, Flores will be pleased about his side’s performance going into another massive game next weekend at the Etihad against Manchester City. One negative from the game against Arsenal was Danny Welbeck’s inability to stay fit to face his former side.
The Englishman picked up a knock in the week leading up to the big game at Vicarage Road. Flores claimed that his side needs to have a plan with Welbeck and said that he was prepared to change his training schedule to aid his quick recovery.
He said: “We need a plan with Danny. We need to recuperate the best version of this player. Now, with the impact sometimes, he’s a little bit in pain, so we need to clarify what is the problem. What we want is Danny Welbeck ready. If he needs to train three days and stop two days, it’s okay, he’s really strong and fast and we need him, but we need to plan.”
Welbeck only returned to action earlier this season after almost nine months out of action due to a serious ankle injury. Two substitute appearances against Everton and West Ham showed that he is slowly getting back to full fitness but his absence in the last game would have been hard to take for the club as well as himself.

Watford are also with Troy Deeney who is expected to be out of action after undergoing surgery to his knee. That leaves the Hornets with just Andre Gray as their out and out senior striker which makes the need for Welbeck’s return even more significant.
Flores will be hoping that the new plan will help Welbeck return to full fitness in the very near future as Watford need all the help they can get to get out of the bottom of the Premier League table.
