Unai Emery’s Arsenal are on the lookout for a new attacker and, if reports are to be believed, they have been offered a superstar for an absolute bargain.

According to a report from the Mirror’s chief football writer John Cross, Arsenal have been offered a chance to sign Olympique Lyon’s star attacker Nabil Fekir this summer.

The report reveals that Arsenal have Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha on top of their wish list but the Eagles’ £80 million valuation of their star winger has priced the Gunners out of a potential move.

Unai Emery’s side have been given a huge lifeline with the availability of Fekir for just £30 million and they should jump at the opportunity to sign him up this summer.

The 25-year-old was very close to joining Liverpool last summer for a fee reported to be about twice what he is available for now. Fekir’s move to Merseyside broke down last time around but, with just a year left on his current deal at Lyon, he would be a fantastic signing for Arsenal.

The Frenchman, despite not having the greatest of campaigns last season, scored 12 goals and provided a further nine assists in all competitions. Fekir is capable of contributing twice as many as that and, at a club like Arsenal, he can reach new heights in his career.

Fekir would be reunited with former teammate and strike partner Alexandre Lacazette if a move materializes and the duo’s previous fantastic chemistry back in France could well be reproduced at the Emirates next season.

A front three of Fekir, Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could turn out to be one of the most dangerous attacking trios in the world and Emery can be more than confident of guiding his side back into the top four.
