After an impressive loan spell at Cardiff City last season, Harry Arter has reportedly attracted interest from three other English clubs.

According to a report from the Independent, Bournemouth’s Harry Arter could still leave the Vitality Stadium before the end of the transfer window next Thursday.

The Irish international spent last season on loan at relegated Cardiff City, where he was a shining light in an otherwise terrible season for Neil Warnock’s side.

The Bluebirds are one of the clubs keen on taking him back but face competition from fellow Championship side Stoke City for his signature.

However, Arter could well stay in the Premier League with Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United also in the race to sign him this week. The Blades will need players with top-flight experience to boost their chances of survival this season and a dynamic midfielder like Arter would be a good fit at Bramall Lane.

Fulham, now managed by Arter’s brother-in-law Scott Parker, have also expressed their interest according to the report but the Lilywhites only want him on loan. Bournemouth would allegedly prefer a permanent transfer which gives Wilder a better chance of landing him this summer.

Arter is keen to get back in the Irish national team and staying at Bournemouth could deprive him of the game time he needs to impress.

A move away makes a lot of sense to all parties and the opportunity to stay in the Premier League with Sheffield United may be too hard to turn down in the coming days.
